How Google will Stop Crime in the Near Future

“Good Morning, Google.”

“Good Morning, Tom. Are you ready for the news?”

“Yes, thank you.”

Tom scans through the headlines.

“Google, What is this story about a gallery exhibit in Hollywood?”

“I am sorry Tom. It looks like that story is no longer available, I see there are two similar openings in Beverly Hills the same day. Would you like to see those stories?”

“Yes”

At which point Google, using all its amalgamated data on Tom, and putting it through an inductive reasoning algorithm, has stopped an anticipated chain of events that would lead to a drunken Tom assaulting another guest at the Hollywood gallery that serves alcohol, and diverted him to two nearby options that don’t serve alcohol.

You know? Like how they get you to shop now.
